It stays put
The fibres interlock into a springy mat that holds on sloping beds and through coastal wind. Sugar cane blows off and bark nuggets float away in a downpour. This stays.
Grown, cut and mulched in the Teven valley near Ballina. Delivered by the load, Byron Bay to Lismore.
Most mulch passes through a few hands before it reaches your garden. Ours doesn't. It's grown, cut and mulched on our family farm at Teven, by the people who answer the phone.
Fine fibres that knit into a mat and stay where you raked them, in a climate that throws 150mm of rain at your garden overnight.

Low in nutrients with a near-neutral pH, which is exactly what grevilleas, banksias and most Australian natives want under them. No fertiliser burn, no acid drift.
As the fibres slowly break down they feed organic carbon into the soil, holding moisture through humid summers and keeping roots cooler by day and warmer at night.
Laid at 75mm, the mat blocks the light weed seeds need to get going. One good load in late winter heads off the spring flush before it starts.
Our own tipper, loaded at the farm. Driveway, paddock gate or garden bed if the truck can reach it. Tell us the town and we will tell you the next run.
How delivery worksTea tree mulch is a fine, fibrous garden mulch made from tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia), the same native plant grown here in the Northern Rivers for tea tree oil. Ours is grown, cut and mulched on our own farm at Teven, near Ballina, with nothing added.
A properly laid 75mm layer lasts 12 to 18 months in Northern Rivers conditions before it needs topping up. The fine fibres knit into a mat that stays put through heavy rain and coastal wind instead of blowing or washing away.
One cubic metre covers about 13 square metres at the recommended 75mm depth. Measure your beds, or use our mulch calculator, and call us: we will help you land on the right load size before we book your delivery.
